About Dr. Lee Richards

BIO

Dr. Lee Richards has been working in the stained glass medium for over 40 years.   He is an award-winning artist who specializes in flat panel landscapes and wildlife scenes. Also, he produces three dimensional pieces that include lamp shades, boxes, and constructed sculptures. Lee has taught beginner and advanced classes in the copper foil technique.

His 35+ years professional career was spent as a licensed architect, engineer, and construction manager. He practiced architecture at his own firm in Maryland for 20 years specializing in designing custom homes, various types of commercial projects, and major institutional buildings. The last 15 years were spent as the chief facility officer at four different universities located in Maryland, Alaska, Florida, and Louisiana. He has a Bachelor of Science (Chemistry), a Master of Architecture, and a Doctorate (Engineering).

Now retired and living in Palm Coast, he works out of his home studio working primarily on flat panels for sale and on commission.
